Job ResponsibilitiesFull development lifecycle from project requirement to deployment.Generate, enhance and promote ideas for useful new projects and technologies.Works on multiple major projects requiring innovative solutions that advance the technical field.Distinguished record of creativity and innovation. Advances engineering principles, theories and concepts. Recognized as an authority in a field of engineering.Work cross functionally with other teams to help make their features fully accessible to all users.Work within the Engineering team to develop features that specifically benefit our users.Develop, modify and unit test software applications in local, networked, or Internetbased software programs.Must be able to deliver high quality code on schedule, communicate with groups in and outside the development team.Job QualificationsComputer Science Degree or equivalent from a fullyaccredited college or university6+ years Java programming experience12 years people management experience highly preferredWeb development experienceGood understanding of relational databases including both SQL and MySQL.Work and play well with others; SoFi is a collaborative environmentPlussesScala, JavaScript, jQuery, PlayMobile developmentPostgreSQLRedis and ElasticSearchWorking knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) principles.Familiarity with Extreme Programming (XP) project methods.
