OverviewJOB SUMMARY The IT Systems Administrator, as a member of our corporate IT Infrastructure team, provides services to ensure that the application portfolio meets user requirements and remains responsive to corporate needs. This position is responsible for planning, implementing, and controlling complex infrastructure systems and communicating progress to management.Responsibilities include performing system management activities such as systems failure recovery, software version upgrades, usage monitoring, hardware/software evaluations, documenting configurations, and conducting backups. Additional daily activities will include monitoring and reporting on system performance and troubleshooting.Individual provides timely internal help desk support and client facing application support. This includes inperson, handson and remote assistance for all standard office hardware and software technology including custom xG Health applications.The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the administration and integrity of the corporate database infrastructure along with operational support of the Analytics, Architecture, and Development Teams. Other responsibilities include development and support of the corporate data environment to ensure the accurate, timely and efficient flow of data through xG Health systems. Assists the Director of IT Operations with database management, maintenance and troubleshooting activities.ResponsibilitiesMAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Infrastructure SupportSupports all network hardware, systems and softwareProvides vendor management and oversight of all data center functions including, but not limited to, infrastructure design, server performance and security/hardening, network performance and securityResponds to computer system and service failures and take appropriate action to restore functionalitySupport WAN, LAN, and Telephony equipment and configurationsMonitors systems utilization, responsiveness and uptime, and recommend and perform correction actionDeploys new technology solutions and services to improve operations and support business needsCoordinates and monitors implementation of new and modified xG applications; including participating in the downtime, planning, design, testing, documentation, and user training, per a defined schedulePerforms frontline support by identifying user requirements, performing needs analysis, developing functional specifications, and facilitating solutionsEvaluates the performance of application software and provide technical recommendations to the appropriate staffAssists with the implementation of disaster recovery proceduresDevelops process work flows, business procedures, and documentationCompletes assigned compliance controls per schedule and a timely basis documentation of all database procedures and guidelinesProvides constant and clear communication to all business stakeholders Helpdesk SupportInstalls operating system, layered procedures and thirdparty softwareHandles set up and configure accounts and equipment for new employees and application users.Responsible for tracking all corporate IT assetsParticipates in on call rotation as determined by managerPerforms all other duties as required or assigned Database and Application SupportFunctions as Database Administrator (DBA)Provides database connectivity and access support throughout the organizationConfigures and monitors automated operations jobsSecures data by controlling access permissions and utilizing encryptionQualificationsSKILLS AND ABILITIES Must be selfguided and show initiative to identify tasks as well as prioritize work efforts from the influx of daily requestsDemonstrated ability to own tasks and follow up until issue is resolvedCapability to troubleshoot and think critically to analyze complex IT situationsMust be able to communicate effectively with team and business usersExperience with SQL database administration requiredAbility to write batch file and FTP scripts to send and retrieve data to and from external sites requiredExperience with cloudbased environments including Microsoft Azure and AWS preferredExperience with SQL scripting, stored procedures, and user defined functions preferredExperience with Linux (or similar operating system) administration preferredWorking knowledge of the following technologies Remote data center, cloud based business systems, IaaSNetwork and Application securityNetwork (LAN & WAN) hardware including Cisco hardware appliances and applicationbased load balancerServer Virtualization with VMware ESXi
