UI/UX Designer

Description

Essential Responsibilities Lead development of rich functional prototypes using white board brainstorming, low and high fidelity mockups and interaction requirements while working with multiple clients Be able to rapidly prototype web portal and application solution design, look, feel and aesthetics Work with implementation teams across multiple engagements to design efficient and comprehensible user interfaces given client requirements Prepare documentation of all UIs developed Collaborate with stakeholders and development to define and implement innovative solutions for product direction, visuals and experience Execute all visual design stages from concept to preproduction handoff to developers. Conduct user research and analyze user feedback against design requirements. Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks Translate highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiences Influence UX team members to adopt new ideas, products, and/or approaches Be part of crossfunctional and/or crosssegment teams Experience/Knowledge 1.5+ years project leadership experience Proven experience as a project leader and/or manager Management of application programming tasks Micro and/or mainframe experience Skills 3+ years of relevant work experience years of relevant work experience (with degree in HumanComputer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Fine Arts, Industrial Design or related field) A thorough understanding of usercentered design methodologies and processes, including but not limited to, usability testing, persona creation and customer research experience Ability to identify opportunities for change, ideate on concepts, advocate for the needs of our customers, and lead design from empathy to iteration to deliver humancentered solutions Fluent with highfidelity design, sketching, and prototyping tools, e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, Sketch, or other similar programs Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, Jquery, and Bootstrap or equivalent framework Online portfolio that shows strong foundation in visual design skills (typography, graphic design, layout, color, etc.) and reflects clean, intuitive, and functional design Good understanding of iOS and Android interface design and fundamental patterns along with web Experience with responsive and adaptive design for multiple devices Experience with usability testing, focus groups, user acceptance testing, heat mapping, usage/performance metrics Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
