Network Engineer

Description

Responsible for defining, implementing and maintaining the corporate wide network infrastructure, services and standards. This includes associated technologies such as Cisco routing/switching/wireless, network addressing, IP standards and addressing, unified communications, video, firewalls, network load balancers, wide area network optimization appliances, VLANs, VPN, MPLS, NAC, QoS, network monitoring and diagnostics, capacity planning, and other network technologies and tools. The role includes processes such as the maintenance and updating of the manufacturers software incorporated in the various network solutions; diagnosing and resolving problems impacting network availability and capacity; providing advanced Tier 3 support to more junior engineers and IT staff; providing the analysis and definition of moderate sized network solutions required in broader IT systems or infrastructure projects.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary by the Company) Implement, and support KLX data, voice and video conferencing networks and networking technologies for medium sized projects of advanced scope and complexity.Provide advanced Tier 3 troubleshooting and support for all network technologies and issues.Configure and manage network monitoring and reporting tools to provide required operational, capacity and management information.Manage and upgrade network based software configuration and releases as required to maintain optimal performance and reliabilityDevelop detailed project implementation and test plans for enterprise network technologies.Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned Required Minimum Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in related field and/or equivalent work experience46 years of related work experienceDemonstrated experience of success as a Network Engineer, CCNA, CCNPExperience and deep knowledge of global network infrastructure design, implementation, and operations.Possess knowledge of technologies to optimize network reliability and costs and best practices for support and optimization of those environments.
