Job DescriptionAs a Senior Engineer on the VEN Platform team, you will write endpoint software and own and design features for the Virtual Enforcement Node, from concept, design, development to release and support, as well as provide companywide engineering leadership on Unix platforms.You will work directly with various Engineering teams, Product Management and customers to bring desired features to market. Your software is part of a distributed system running on some of the most critical and sensitive application workloads across the globe, in order to enforce security policies within the Illumio Adaptive Security Platform. Your C++ code will contribute to a lean agent that delivers security by building on proven, preexisting mechanisms inside Unix operating systems (Linux, Solaris, AIX). You will bring expertise in building system services combined with extensive Unix platform knowledge that can be leveraged to build innovative solutions and servicesQualificationsYou are highly skilled at solving problems, are motivated and selfdriven, and are ready to work with a small, senior, strong team of engineers in a quickly growing company 10+ years of experience in Unix systems API software development Strong Linux knowledge required; AIX and Solaris experience is highly desirable. Solid networking fundamentals (L2L7); SDN and encapsulation experience desirable.
