ResponsibilitiesAct as a strategic solution advisor to project and product teams.Lead programs to develop, maintain and govern IT architecture across the enterpriseDevelop, socialize, and communicate IT architectural standards.Participate in the Architecture Review Board processLead the EA Design Review BoardLead the solution architecture of complex, multidomain programsCoordinate and lead the solution design activities of a team of solution architectsPerform impact analysis on proposed business and IT capabilitiesDirect the selection of appropriate technologies and patterns for the implementation of solution designsResearch and evaluate emerging technologies, and design patternsWhen appropriate participate in producing the business case for leveraging emerging technology delivery processes and solutionsCreate reference models for, and facilitate the adoption of, emerging technologiesCreate reference models for, and facilitate the adoption of, emerging design patternsContinuously develop new skills in order to stay current with the changing IT and Business landscapeCoach and mentor solution architects, software engineers, and system engineersQualificationsEducation Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of relevant education, training and experienceExperience 8 years of progressive experience in IT architecture and solution designDirect experience in the architecture of PaaS, Public / Private / Hybrid Cloud and DevOps platformsExperience with data management, and the associated architecture patterns of largescale application platformsSignificant expertise in JEE and related experience with RDBMS and NoSQL technologies such as Oracle, DB2i, Cassandra, etc...Agile software development experience preferredKnowledge of, and experience with the implementation Enterprise Software Design PatternsExperience with ApplicationtoApplication integrationAptitude for, desire to, and experience in mentoring architects, developers, and engineersExperience with UML and BPMN a plusExceptional partnering and communication skillsAbility to selfdirect work and manage own work pace
