Description

Essential Duties Maintain Windows Servers and Linux RHEL Operating Systems to ensure excellent performance and availability.Develop, test, and implement technical improvements to system configuration and operation following change control processes in both Windows & Linux environments.Investigate, configure, and test new technologies for use and deployment in the production environmentComplete forms or update configuration databases to reflect all changes affecting the equipment or software inventories after equipment installations, software installations, or equipment movesImplement and follow processes to ensure the security of all systems and dataDesign, implement, and execute appropriate standardized procedures to ensure system health and provide reports or logs Provide thirdtier support to Support Center; complete work necessary to resolve assigned Incident tickets within service windows and update information in the Support Center system to completely describe ticket resolutionInstallation, configuration of Windows and Linux Operating Systems in both servers and desktop machines.Configuration support for managing Firewalls, Antivirus Servers and Backup solutions.Configuring and maintaining services like DHCP, FTP, HTTP, Squid, Samba, Sendmail, Active Directory etc.Trouble shooting hardware and software problems in an effective manner.Minimum Requirements 5 years of Windows system administration experience (preferably 2018 and 2012 & 2016) & Linux RHEL OS (strongly preferred)Strong Windows performance tuning and troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of Domain Name System (DNS), Windows Internet Name Service (WINS), RDS, and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)Scripting experienceKnowledge of OS patching maintenance and installationKnowledge of hardware maintenance and installationGreat to have Bachelors degree or equivalent substantial work experienceMicrosoft certification or course work (MCSE/MCITP)Citrix and/or Remote Desktop Services experience Able to lead, teach and influence the work of others as an experienced member of the team
