DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions Writes clear, concise, and logically organized descriptions of system functions, and edits documentation accordingly.
Participates in the development process and acts as advocate for endusers.
Manages ongoing and detailed documentation projects.
Addresses errors in documentation by researching edit requests and making changes as appropriate.
Works with manager and team to develop documentation processes and guidelines.
Ensures delivery of quality documentation by following style guides, and established processes and procedures.
Delivers documentation on schedule with a high degree of quality.
Additional Responsibilities Develops a deep knowledge of the products and writes technical content to an approval level of detail.
May lead and manage project planning for the team.
May provide guidance and coaching to lessexperienced peers.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Required
Education, Licenses, and Certifications Bachelors degree in information systems/computer science, technical communications/writing or similar degree.
Experience Minimum 5 years of experience.
Critical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements Strong understanding of taskbased documentation.
Excellent writing and editing skills, demonstrated by writing samples upon request.
Use of MadCap Flare or other industry standard authoring tools.
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
Ability to work independently and with others in a team environment.
Ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure and in a fastpaced Agile development environment.
Ability to coach and assist other team members when needed.
Preferred
Experience with UNIX, CGI, Perl, JavaScript, SQL or any libraryrelated work.
