POSITION OBJECTIVE The Sr Applications Developer builds database systems that are highquality, scalable, and highperformance to meet the demands of our rapidly growing ECommerce ATG websites and backend content management and reporting systems. FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the development of ATG commerce applications.
Performs in high pressure Agile environment with tight deadlines.
Assists the lead developer and or developers in creating design, ability to do handson coding.
Cares about coding standards and develops efficient, elegant, clean code with no unnecessary complication.
Assists the project management office and testers in the creation of the test plan and test scenarios whose scope includes new code or changes in existing code.
Provides input to technical lead and architect on development solutions.
Works with internal/external development teams to collect Java application requirements and develop commerce applications.
Creates/Modifies J2EE applications for dynamic data driven website architecture.
Debugs and troubleshoots website J2EE application issues.
Participates in the ongoing development initiatives as directed.
Learns and develops extensions to the digital commerce ATG platform.
Takes strong initiative to take on new projects and complete with efficiency.
Researches, evaluates new technologies/tools and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities in line with the architecture technology strategy of the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
5+ years' handson software development (full SDLC) experience required
5+ years' experience developing with Java, J2EE, Spring framework, Weblogic, JBoss, JMS, web services (REST & SOAP) and front end development
Extensive knowledge on ATG outof thebox functionality
Handson experience working on enterprise systems using ATG stack (Commerce, BCC, CSC)
Experience working with commerce features such as Product, Catalog, Promotion, My Account, Shopping Cart and Checkout with extensive customization experience
Experience working with ATG components using Droplets, Form Handler, Tools, Manager, Calculator, Processor, Repository API
Skilled knowledge of integration between ATG platform and other 3rd party web services
Endeca Search with Experience Manager, Workbench, Orange App, Best indexing practices, Platform and Services, Tools and Framework, MDEX and CAS
Knowledge of Endeca tools to analyze the bottleneck for e.g. EnePerf, Request Logs and Endeca statistics
Strong Indepth knowledge in Endeca Experience Manager, Endeca Guided Search MDEX, Presentation API, CAS, Endeca Developer Studio, Endeca Pipelines
Experience with multiple platforms, languages and technical solutions
Must have the ability to work in a fast pace environment and react to situations as they arise in the appropriate manner
Ability to work independently or in a team environment and effectively meet project deliverables on time
Must be dependable, punctual, and reliable
Must be flexible and available to provide offhours support
Desired Experience Experience managing software deliverables using tools like Jira
Agile methodology project experience
