The operational aspects of the role is limited to ensuring that our current services continue to function efficiently in the way they today and the solutions encompass that need. While devising new solutions and design for the same, the operational needs of current platform and scalability to the future needs are taken in to consideration. Strategic The data componenet and the corresponding team associated with it is strategically formed to look at synergies across various initiatives within the organization. The solution design, development should be aimed at delivering high quality holistic solutions at platform level than point solutions targetted at solving a specific problem. Leadership
The role requires leading the data streams for one or various projects and working closely with data and project team. The role will require participating in design and development discussions
and fostering knowledge in the data team for other members and guiding them towards the delivery of such solutions
Experience essential / desired for successful job performance
A minimum of 10 plus years of experience in financial services domain with strong hands on experience on open source technology. Qualifications / certifications essential / desired for successful job performance
A bachelor in science or engineering discipline with a strong 8 plus years of experience in database oriented technogies. Exposure to both data delivery and data architecture streams with both hands on and leadership experience.
Success factors / How personal characteristics contributing to an individuals ability to excel in the position
Strong technical skills in DB2 and other databases backed by motivating and willingness to work towards success of strategic goals.
Ability to use the experience in designing and developing solutions which has a strategic outlook and are of high quality with little maintenance.
A personality which is amicable, collaborative and willingness to work together and resolve conflicts if the need arises. Ability to estimate risk prior hand and work with the team and management to put mitigation actions in place.
