Description
Responsibilities
Configure and troubleshoot enterprise level telephony, video and voicemail systems.
Maintain system health across these multiple systems, leveraging network monitoring tools to provide performance feedback and recommend and implement changes to improve efficiency. Work with network teams to maintain video and VoIP QoS across the environment.
Own product lifecycle management tracking EOS and EOL and ensuring firmware and service pack application to address performance and security issues
Manage projects within and across the infrastructure.
Adhere to change management and secure implementation processes.
Work with vendors when planning and quoting projectsprovide financial and resource requirements for implementing department initiatives.
Prepare purchase requisitions and maintain maintenance records in accordance with department initiatives and infrastructure, and vendor best practices.
Qualifications/Selection Criteria
Minimum 4 years' experience and demonstrated knowledge in the following areas Comprehensive knowledge of networking technologies including, signaling protocols like SIP, H.323, H.264, H.265, etc
Familiarity with Exchange Unified Messaging and related administration
Working knowledge of TDM and IP standards, infrastructures, and network requirements
Practical experience with designing, implementing, and supporting video conferencing solutionsLync or Skype for Business solutions preferred
Aptitude to logically assess and troubleshoot hardware and software difficulties
Indepth understanding of A/V traffic patterns and protocols in use
Experience/knowledge of voice/video in the cloud
Video end user support
Experience with multisite, enterprise implementations.
Cisco/Polycom/Skype video conference platformsenterprise to desktop with various cloud and 3rd party providers.
Network management toolsutilize 3rd party analysis tools to perform analysis on the environment, troubleshoot production issues, (e.g. QoS, Call quality), and provide capacity planning.
This position requires a selfstarter/selflearner that can adapt easily whether working independently or with a team. The candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills and strong judgment. Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Telephony or related discipline or commensurate work experience.
