Keurig Brewers utilize advanced technology to deliver the Perfect Cup, in every cup. Working in a fastpaced, highly collaborative and systemsoriented environment, the IoT Platform Architect will be involved throughout the Keurig Connected Brewer System product lifecycle from R&D to Production Deployment. Activities will include researching innovations in the IoT space and selecting device connectivity modules, IoT cloud services and mobile app capabilities. The IoT Platform Architect will be responsible for designing and developing the full IoT platform stack including reusable and highly reliable connectivity modules, data models designed for functional and operational efficiency, secure transmission of data to the IoT cloud, highly scalable IoT cloud services consisting of serverless computing, operational database and dashboard. The IoT Platform Architect will work closely with a diverse global team to ensure a consistent, maintainable, scalable and robust software system IoT Platform, cloud services & cloud application partners, mobile application developers, data scientists, brewer design engineers, business systems analysts, customer service, quality, and IT operations.
Role and Responsibility
As a member of the Keurig Connected Business Unit, you will Lead and promote the IoT Platform architecture of Keurigs Connected Brewers
Research the latest innovations in the IoT space and lead the development of proof of concepts and reference IoT platform implementations
Lead the design and development of reusable and highly available IoT device to cloud platform solution for Keurigs Connected Brewers
Collaborate with Brewer Engineering and Digital IT teams to support product implementation teams to consume the IoT solution and contribute enhancements back to the IoT platform while promoting reuse across all brewer programs
Define and promote IoT design and coding standards including data modeling, security, operational efficiency, debugging and troubleshooting
Conduct design and code reviews
Contribute as a handson, resultsoriented Individual Contributor or Project Lead committed to team success, willing to do the simple or complicated tasks to move a project forward
Support problem identification, escalation and resolution process for technical issues with platforms and environments
Qualifications
Qualifications and Required Experience
Bachelors Degree or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
10+ years of software engineering experience
3+ years of relevant IoT experience
Practical knowledge of Microprocessor based hardware design
Practical knowledge IoT platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services
Development experience with APIs, Big Data / NoSQL platforms like Pig, HBase, MongoDB or Apache Cassandra
Experience in Test Automation frameworks and TestDriven Development practices
Handson experience in full lifecycle technical development projects using Agile and waterfall methodologies
Proven ability to provide technical leadership and mentoring for team members
Direct experience managing onshore and offshore joint development teams as well as development by external system integration vendors
Software issue tracking and ticket systems such as JIRA
Software version control systems such as Bitbucket, Git, GitKraken
Additional Desired Experience
Ability to read and understand schematics and manufacturer datasheets of components
Experience in C / C++ programming
Programming in Real Time Operating System environments (Linux preferable)
Scrum master or other project management methodologies
