Top Three Skills 1) 5+ years experience with creating insights from data, leveraging Tableau or Microstrategy to build reports and data visualizations. They must be able to build insights with the data, and able to collect or leverage BI systems to do it. 2) 2+ years experience with data analysis utilizing SQL queries or similar tools (use SQL, Tableau, R)
3) Experience with sales or revenue analytics experience or hospitality desired but not required mathematical analysis also useful/financial data analysts could blend well into the team. Job Description He needs a strong data/BI analyst to fill the gap between the old world and the new world. They will do business analyst work like presentations, tableau visualizations, stats and building general insights story. They are building new data structures, new reporting, etc., and are decommissioning thousands of old reports and structures. The new groups is not quite ready for the major ingestion of data from the old world this individual will help bridge the gap for the next 6 months. This individual will be going through hundreds/thousands of rows of data and helping translate to the new data structures and put it into reports/formats that can be utilized under the new structure. The new structure includes Hadoop/spark raw zone, enterprise zone, business zone (3 pools inside of a lake) within that they are using those tools. To tap into it not sure what API is for microstrategy using cubes out of business zone data can use any ETL type function. Cubes may improves speed but causes data quality challenge 10 to 1000 market share/metrics. Exponentially expands cost will look at snowflake redshift Additional Information Hilton is building a new data team with four parts data science, project management, just data, and analytics.
