Description

The .NET Application Developer role is a key member of the team develops database and web applications to support Client. The position is responsible for ascertaining business requirements from business users and incorporating those requirements into applications that meet the defined need(s). The position is also responsible for assisting the Application Development Manager with other duties as assigned including maintenance and support of ongoing applications.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO Application and interface/integration design, development, testing, and deployment of primarily .NET web applications and some packaged software
Meets with business representatives to define and document functional and nonfunctional requirements Manages small scope projects under guidance of more experienced team members
Design and develop user interface and data architecture of web applications
Design and implement databases in SQL Server and utilize SQL Server stored procedures and views for data transformations and enforcement of business rules
Develops and maintains programs to integrate applications primarily through SQL Server SSIS packages
Defines, documents, and executes rigorous test plans to ensure implemented solutions meet documented requirements and expose defects
Applies application code changes to QA and Production environments adhering to change management practices
Provides second level support to resolve incidents or fulfill requests received from the users; works with enterprise subject matter experts and technical resources to research and resolve issues; provides status on user issues.
Ensures data security and integrity and application reliability
Performs routine maintenance and monitoring for applications
Coordinates with the business owner to communicate changes and train application users
Maintains technical documentation and application knowledge base
Applies waterfall and agile system development methodologies based on the project requirements
Generally works independently, but sometimes under the guidance of a senior application developer
Sphere of influence Operations and mid / upper managers
Provides oncall assistance as needed.
Adheres to and supports organizational IT&S standards, policies, and procedures.
Adheres to Code of Conduct.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Microsoft SQLServer 2012 Job Knowledge Advanced skill in configuring and supporting software applications,
Strong software development and debug/troubleshooting skills,
Advanced ability to research, analyze and recommend improvements to the organization's use of the software applications
Advanced skill in creating and maintaining technical documentation.
Interpersonal Skills Effective working relationships with all functional units of the organization
Working ability to effectively recognize and manage interpersonal communication needs,
Ability to work as part of a crosscultural team including flexibility to support multiple locations when necessary,

Time & Deadlines
Works effectively under pressure and is able to manage competing priorities, and Meets or exceeds expectations on process turnaround for assigned tasks and follow ups, and issue resolution to closure.
Business hours Monday Friday 8am 8pm (on premises); Oncall support on weekends, Holidays and nonbusiness hours
Accountability Research, recommend, configure, and administer software configuration changes,
Research, recommend, code, and administer software development changes,
Perform routine operations tasks (i.e. produce reports, stat files, etc),
Work with the various business departments to understand their needs for the software and any issues they are experiencing
Work with software vendor to have application issues fixed, both short term and long term (root cause),
Troubleshoot errors and application issues via periodic testing, help desk tickets, and other methods,
Responsible for the creation of software operations and support related documentation.
Customer Service
Service and maintain software applications for other departments in expected turnaround times with a sense of urgency within defined SLA
Learning Orientation
Understand the administration and user side functionality within the supported software applications
Research and develop process improvements in dedication to continuous improvement
Identifies and pursues personal training opportunities related to enhancing job related skill sets.
Problem Solving & Judgement
Applies the identified job knowledge requirements for the role to make disciplined decisions in a timely fashion.
