AWS Application Architect

Description

Responsibilities Architect, Design and build systems in AWS Cloud
Perform analysis on existing applications and systems to determine suitability to migrate to the cloud
Understand customer business needs, conduct technical discussions and document business requirements
Perform deep dive analysis on Applications to be migrated and recommend remediations for strategic and tactical wins
Migration of existing applications (Java, .Net) and development of new applications using AWS cloud services.
Reengineering/Remediating existing applications and development of new applications using AWS cloud services and microservices architecture.
Understanding customer requirements, and proposing and delivering custom solutions
Act as an escalation point, supporting engineering teams for technical issues and decisions.
Customer facing skills to represent AWS well within the customer's environment
Proven experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies required
Strong track record of implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (eg. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)
Required Skills 12+ years Industry experience, 6+ years Application Architecture and Design, 4+ AWS design and Implementation experience
AWS Cloud Architect Certifications Preferred
Advanced knowledge of the primary AWS services
Experience with Java, .Net, and databases (Oracle, MySQL). Experience with SAP is big plus
Experience with containers and microservices and rearchitecting current applications to microservices architecture
Leading highlyavailable and faulttolerant enterprise and webscale software deployments.
Infrastructure automation through DevOps scripting (E.g. Ansible, Terraform).
Configuration management using CloudFormation, Chef & Puppet.
Strong practical Linux and Windowsbased systems administration skills in a Cloud or Virtualized environment.
Nice to have Experience with cloud migration tools (Cloudamize, Racemi, Appzero, etc.
