Network Analyst

Description

Collaborate with Network Architect and global teams to provide recommendations for strategic design of the Bemis Global Network
Research, recommend and integrate Network LAN/WAN technologies in the Bemis Global Network.
Research, recommend and integrate Network Security Technologies in the Bemis Global Network. Prepare and present recommendations to IT leadership team.
Provide leadership, coaching & mentoring to network peers, International teams, and the Service Desk.
Ensure that all changes to the network/computing environment are reviewed and approved by appropriate management before resources are committed. This includes scheduling reviews with management and appropriate personnel to review the effects on the business process. Project management responsibilities for Global Network implementations. Develop project plans and utilize the team resources to complete the deliverables. Provide project status reporting and follow all change control requirements. Perform hardware obsolesce and capacity planning. Provide input to budgeting process.
Demonstrate vendor relation skills to work with vendors on developing recommendations and providing network services. This includes collaborating with Infrastructure Service Delivery Lead role on new services and existing service escalations.
Lead the coordination/management of vendors who are contracted for services relating to the network environment. Including hardware, software and network providers.
Excellent research skills and the ability to selfdirect training to keep current with technology advancements.
Excellent communications skills both oral and written to successfully interact with project teams from various departments/business units.
Excellent problem solving based on experience with the technology
Advance degree of competency in technical areas Networking Protocols/Services BGP, OSPF, IPSec, GRE, HSRP/VRRP, NAT/PAT, SNMP, MPLS, VPLS, QoS, Multicast, STP, 10GigE, GigE, 10/100 Ethernet, T1, DS3, SONET, GTM, LTM, DNS, Application Firewalls
Strategic design and implementation of network solutions in all areas of the Bemis Global Network. LAN, WAN, WLAN, SecurityFirewall and Datacenter.
Monitoring security, performance and availability of network architecture. Monitor software releases to ensure all system vulnerabilities are remediated.
Identify and communicate network and security risks. Provide plan for remediation.
Provide mentoring/guidance to other members of the IT Network Team.
Lead Global Network meetings with international IT resources. Provide training and knowledge transfers.
