Capital Markets Business Analyst Looking for a Business Analyst with Capital Markets experience. Candidates must be able to understand systems and relational databases.
Will be working with business and technical teams. Need someone who can work directly with the business to gather requirements and funnel the information to the other business/systems analysts, along with the technical teams. Experience with global markets, FX, repo, capital markets, etc. is preferred. Must also have experience working in an Agile environment. Need to be comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
SQL experience HIGHLY preferred
Interview is phone and then in Person (must interview in person after the phone interview)
This is within the Finance Risk Infrastructure and Business Solutions (FRIBS) group
Primary Responsibilities Work with senior leadership in each Finance and Risk vertical to define their strategic and tactical goals for change; support defining priorities Work with FRIBS Leads and Solution Owners to assess project portfolio to determine sizing (budget) and sequencing (timelines) and ensure proper alignment with corporate wide initiatives and other Finance/Risk projects Partner with IT to scope out the project portfolio and design the business architecture Manage program deliverables through entire lifecycle and ensure that the timelines are met Work with FRIBS Business Analysts to ensure completeness of business requirements, data requirements, functional specifications, and User Acceptance Testing
Inform leadership in each Finance and Risk vertical on the portfolios progress, risks/challenges and facilitate prioritization and remediation Represent the respective Finance and Risk vertical in all technology and project related discussions Lead internal FRIBS work to strengthen our program/project management and risk management capabilities for the full team. This will require idea management and moving an idea into a framework into execution by our FRIBS team.
Program/Project Management including the preexecution phase of planning with our business and technology partners.
Issue Identification and Resolution proactive and prompt identification, resolution and where necessary, escalation of critical issues impacting the program/project.
Provide additional advisory and support
Qualifications 510 years experience as a Business Analyst in a datacentric project environment; BS/BA Required
Candidate must be able to communicate to senior level leaders
Candidate must be able to collaborate with key stakeholders to influence decisions in a timely manner.
Willing to take ownership and initiative, be accountable and proactive, and work independently in a fastpaced environment
Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills and proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively with business and systems personnel
Understanding of Finance and Treasury business units preferred
Meticulous attention to detail, placing high value on accuracy; diligent about upholding control points and procedures in the Software development lifecycle
Intellectually curious with problem solving and analysis
Knowledge of SQL a plus
Ability to quickly learn new BI tools and data sources
Comfortable with large volumes of data, understands data transformation, normalization, and datamodeling
Flexible able to adapt to changing priorities
