Big Data Solution Architect

Job Description Design, develop, and support highperformance, custom applications at scale on Hadoop
Design and deliver automated transformation of large data sets leveraging MapReduce, streaming, and other emerging technologies
Leverage NoSQL databases such as Hbase, Cassandra to ingest transformed data at scale
Implement highvolume data integration solutions
Define common business and development processes, platform and tools usage for data acquisition, storage, transformation, and analysis;
Will be part of a Solution Architect team in building tools and accelerators in automating Big Data solutions and application monitoring
Review and audit of existing solutions, design and system architecture
Perform profiling, troubleshooting of existing solutions
Create technical documentation.
Qualifications
Requires BS or MS in Computer science or related field with 10+ years of hands on development experience including 4+ years of architecting and developing Big Data applications.
Strong knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, Scala
Experience with major big data technologies and frameworks including but not limited to Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, MapReduce, Pig, Hive, HBase, Oozie, Flume, ZooKeeper
Experience with Cloudera Distribution of Hadoop. Cloudera certification is preferred.
Experience in clientdriven largescale implementation projects;
Lead technical team and team management experience, deep understanding of Agile (Scrum) is preferred
Strong experience in applications design, development and maintenance;
Practical expertise in performance tuning and optimization, bottleneck problems analysis;
Solid technical expertise & troubleshooting skills;
Excellent communication skills
Willing to travel 1015% of the time.
