Description
Responsibilities and Duties
Maintains and enhances our hardware, networking & communication equipment and ensures that it is supporting the business in a reliable, performant, and secure manner.
Manages our Development, Test & Production Environments.
Monitors our overall hardware, network, and software environment to ensure it conforms to Service Level Objectives (SLOs). Responds to Service Desk requests, follows standard Service Desk procedures, logs all Service Desk interactions and administers Service Desk software.
Identifies and escalates situations requiring urgent attention.
Performs maintenance and upgrades to desktops & laptops (Windows 7 / MSFT SCCM).
Performs maintenance and upgrades to servers. Monitors Systems availability (MSFT SCOM).
Monitors disk space.
Maintains server backups (SQL Server Databases).
Completes data restores as necessary.
Provides Database Administration (DBA) support.
Ensures security of data.
Monitors virtual VMware environment / take action to maintain availability and balance.
Configures and maintains network equipment, servers and server clusters.
Maintains all infrastructure to be compliant with corporate security policy.
Preserves user accounts (Active Directory).
Retains data access permissions and security.
Maintains and monitors antivirus software and definitions. Troubleshoots and monitors network performance and availability.
Monitors firewall and network for intrusions.
Responds to network alerts.
Prepares and executes Disaster Recovery plans.
Supports Business Continuity Plan testing and implementation.
Provides VPN support.
Advises user on appropriate action/provide instruction.
Stays current with system information, changes and updates / communicate to user community.
Works with vendors to troubleshoot problems, issues, changes.
Provides AV support and presentation/communication setup for users.
Provides mobile device support.
Organizational Demonstrates alignment with RiverStones Commitments. Prioritizes and organizes work in selfdirected manner. Attains and maintains knowledge of assigned department.
Performs other duties as required, including supporting and coordinating with other department colleagues.
