QA Automation Engineer

Major purpose Client is a broad line, businesstobusiness distributor of maintenance, repair and operating (MRO) supplies and other related products and services. More than 3.2 million businesses and institutions worldwide rely on Grainger for products such as safety gloves, ladders, motors and janitorial supplies, along with services like inventory management and technical support. These customers represent a broad collection of industries including commercial, government, healthcare and manufacturing. They place orders online, on mobile devices, through sales representatives, over the phone and at local branches. Approximately 5,000 suppliers provide Grainger with more than 1.6 million products stocked in Graingers distribution centers and branches worldwide.
Major responsibilities and duties Perform detailed analysis/design of functional and nonfunctional requirements and translate them to software solutions in the Grainger commerce environments.
Work crossfunctionally in evaluating new technology, both proprietary and open source, for use in the Grainger eBusiness environment.
Develop automated test scripts and libraries with a framework using Java, Selenium Web driver 3.0, TestNg, Maven, Bitbucket by applying industry standards Design and develop strategies with proof of concepts based on user stories or usecase definition.
Support biweekly production deployments as lead
Perform on call responsibilities to monitor grainger.com production environment and address potential failures
Ensuring availability, stability, and reliability of the code and solutions built
Execute task level estimation of work assigned during all phases of SDLC using agile processes
Collaborate with different team members in developing automated scripts for native hybrid mobile apps
Requirements Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related area, or equivalent experience
46 years of automation experience within a large ecommerce application using Selenium.
46 years of Java programming experience 12 years of experience with Python
Experience with various automation frameworks TDD, BDD, Keyword Driven is a plus
Experience with integration of test automation into CI/CD process
Experience with Bamboo, Bit bucket or Git as project admin is a plus
Must have implemented at least one framework and be able to demonstrate the pros and cons
Experience with automation of restful, Soap, Micro services is a plus
Proficiency in Oracle database system and relational database concepts.
Ability to work in a highly collaborative team consisting of both technical and business members.
Excellent communication skills and a resultsoriented attitude.
