Oracle Apps Developer

Description

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for analyzing and resolving functional and technical problems of supported applications including OM and related modules for example advanced pricing, shipping, inventory and quality as primary duties.
Able to learn and support other modules including PO, Projects, HRMS, Excel4Apps, OTM, Quality, SysAdmin.
Design and support solutions using Oracle Workflows, Forms Personalization and SOA..
Provide production and adhoc reporting and interface solutions to complex query needs of the business using a variety of reporting tools. Research user problems in area of expertise and ability to research and learn areas outside of area of expertise
Support and/or install software applications
Provide patch and upgrade testing
Provide support for Oracle module implementation projects or other applications as needed
Provide helpdesk support as directed by the Oracle Sr. Manager
Test reports and work with users to finalize
Analyze business and user needs, document requirements, and implement or revise new or existing systems as necessary
Continuously improve our commitment to excellence in Environmental, Health, Safety and Security performance
Other duties as assigned by management
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor degree (BS) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related field
Expert proficiency with SQL and PL/SQL and knowledge of Oracle Apps table structures required
Expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
Minimum of 3 years experience with Oracle Release 12 required
Minimum of 5 years equivalent work experience required
Minimum of 3 years technofunctional application support experience in the fields of Oracle Projects, Accounting, Procurement, Transportation and Order Management required
Desire to learn and support other areas within Merichems applications portfolio including Procurement and Transportation and any new areas that may be added in the future
Skills in SQL and PL/SQL Programming required
Skills with Oracle developer tools including reports, XML publisher, workflow builder
Skills with SOA desired
Expert skills in identifying and capturing business requirements
Strong knowledge of system testing best practices and methodologies
Detail oriented, with ability to work and drive tasks independently
Able to work in a team environment with experience working on high impact crossfunctional teams
Experience working with all levels of the organization, both technical and nontechnical
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of common financial, accounting and business practices
Strong analytical skills with proven data analysis, data verification, and problemsolving abilities
Use good judgment, both fair and objective
