Infrastructure Specialist

Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Gather and manage the technical requirements for new builds by working with the application groups and business units as appropriate
Design the solution to meet the requirements gathered as well the infrastructure and security standards that have been set
Define global infrastructure standards for their technical domain
Manage and build the designed solution according to specifications and ensure the proper testing is complete to transition to Infrastructure Technology Management
Ensure that the appropriate documentation is provided to Infrastructure Technology Management to ensure the reliable operation of the built solution
Work with other IT Infrastructure organization employees to ensure compliance with Olin IT technical architecture and standards.
Maintain relationships with IT vendors and providers to understand latest industry trends and capabilities as well ensure high levels of service.
Provide L4 support to help resolve infrastructure issues
POSITION REQUIREMENTS Bachelors degree; Information Systems,Computer Engineering or other related degree preferred
5 or more years of experience planning and building IT infrastructure solutions
TOGAF or similar certification preferred
MCSE or similar certification or comparable experience preferred
Ability and willingness to travel approximately 10%
Excellent organizational, analytical, written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Strong interpersonal skills which provide the ability to establish and build working relationships with individuals throughout the organization in support of IT department objectives;
work closely with people at all levels of the organization;
Strong leadership skills to effectively lead team members, providers and project efforts.
Thorough understanding of general business operations and processes
