Job Description
The Senior Data Analyst conducts analysis of business and user reporting needs and then documents requirements with diverse levels of complexity. Working with business teams and application system personnel, the Data Analyst identifies data sources, confirms conversion requirements, and resolves data mapping and data integrity issues.
Data Management and integration enables Performance Foodservice information consumers to utilize the data assets of the organization and the analytic/reporting infrastructure to effectively manage the internal workings of the business and make informed decisions about business performance. The Analyst role conducts analysis of business and user reporting needs and then documents requirements with diverse levels of complexity. Working with business teams and applications systems personnel, the Analyst identifies data sources, confirms conversion requirements, and resolves data mapping and data integrity issues. Responsibilities Partner with the Enterprise Reporting Team (IT) and all business units Understand the business and IT to facilitate an effective relationship; deliver for the business while only giving IT feasible/important work. Collaborate between enterprise IT and business information consumers/analysts. Demonstrate ability to collect knowledge about information assets where they are, what format they are in, what level of quality they represent, and their value to PFS. Educate and support the business operations. Train users on the Cognos system. Lead and facilitate Cognos superuser community, create reports and analystics for PFS super user group. Communicate to PFS Executive how business intelligence (process, practices, and technologies) play a critical role in improving business management, optimization and competitiveness. Work on large project and small enhancement work simultaneously. Convey business needs to IT Leadership for prioritization efforts. Manage small projects to the PMO Standards.
Prioritize system enhancements according to business needs and feasibility. Manage enhancement from intake to completion. Other duties as assigned per business needs.
