Looking for strong JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 experience. Also should have experience with APIs (creating is a huge plus, consuming is okay) and strong understanding of website design methodologies and native mobile app development standards across iOS and Android
We are looking for a FrontEnd Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application. You will work with the UI/UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop functional and appealing web and mobilebased applications based on usability
Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Use a combination of markup languages to write web pages
Create quality mockups and prototypes on tight timelines
Create cascading style sheets (CSS) that are consistent across all browsers and platforms
Maintain graphic standards and branding throughout the products interface
Work closely with developers to ensure technical feasibility and quality of design execution, and collaborate on alternative solutions when scope or technical implementation challenges arise
Participate as needed in QA testing, providing clear descriptions of issues and opportunities
Help to create and maintain our pattern library, design system, documentation and templates so the process gets easier as time goes on
Work in iterative processes, including agile and lean methodologies
Perform as a team player and help support the evolution of a growing user experience team
REQUIRED SKILLS
Expert knowledge of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
Advanced understanding of crossbrowser compatibility issues and ways to work around them
Proficient understanding of serverside CSS preprocessing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
Good understanding of clientside scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
Strong understanding of website design methodologies (e.g. mobile first, responsive/adaptive design) and native mobile app development standards across iOS and Android
Experience with consuming RESTful APIs; experiencing with building APIs is a plus
Experience with user research, usability testing and site analytics is a plus
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field experience
