Top Three Skills 1. Experience as a Solutions Consultant in the IoT space. Doesnt have to be an expert in all areas of IoT but must have experience with smart cars, smart cities, smart health or supply chain IoT
2. Must have Cloud based connectivity solutions experience. This team is delivering cloud based solutions so this person must understand IoT solutions and how they interact with the cloud
3. In addition to the technical experience, this person must have experience working directly with enterprise customers. Must be able to communicate clearly and deliver presentations. Job Description AT&T is seeking a Solutions Consultant to join their team in the IoT space. As a team member of IoT solution consultants , you will use your indepth technical knowledge to design and implement Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for our clients. The successful candidate acts as the subject matter expert within the discipline and can deliver the client solution, either through leading an engagement team of other Consultants and/or Sr. Consultants, or as the sole consulting resource on a project. In this role there is a business element in addition to the technical piece. We need someone who is capable of understanding and delivering the ROI to the business customer. Ex. A small investment now will help them with X down the road. Two of the places where they have a gap is smart cities and supply chain. Anything from a strong emphasis with a cloud capabilities software. We need someone who can be consultative to enterprise clients. Digital transformation with cloud and IoT would be a plus. Looking for good tenure. Must be in Dallas or Atlanta. Technical responsibilities include problem identification, solution architecture definition, solution requirements definition and documentation, hardware recommendations, network requirements and design, agent and middleware software development, solution implementation, testing, client training, and deployment. In addition, responsibilities include managing project activities from client identification through final invoicing. On this team you will be working with the best in the industry. Here is what you should bring to the table ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Architect and delivery endtoend IoT solutions for our customers and define functional/technical requirements for the solution.
Building technical credibility with potential clients by sharing and demonstrating handson experiences with IoT devices, code, and practical lessons learned
Responsible for successful project delivery
Provide technical leadership of small to medium sized team
Build deep relationships with senior AT&T technical resources to engage appropriately when depth is needed on a technical component
Contribute to the development and advancement of the AT&T Consulting IoT practice through knowledge sharing and promotion of AT&T.
Basic Qualifications 10+ years of experience in technology and solution delivery
Practical experience in solution design, application architecture, database architecture, and software development
Experience working with customers to implement solutions
Awareness of current and emerging IoT technologies and communications protocols
Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort delivering presentations to both large and small audiences
Bachelors degree required
Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly
Demonstrated experience leading or developing high quality, enterprise scale software products or solutions using a structured system development lifecycle.
Ability to travel for engagement requirements.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Background in systems software development utilizing multiple modern technologies and techniques, such as JAVA, .NET, JavaScript and design patterns
Experience with APIs and integration
Strong internet of things, hardware integration capabilities
Preferred Qualifications Technical degree Engineering, Computer Science or Math background highly desired; or degree with significant software development work experience.
Prior IoT experience in a technical role within a services organization is desirable.
Experience working with customers to implement medium to largescale solutions is desirable.
Understanding of applications, server, and software development
Experience in one or more specific IoT / embedded / M2M industry (i.e. home automation, business automation, health, asset tracking, smart utilities, etc.) is desirable
Experience with embedded or realtime operating systems, and/or driver/kernel development is desirable
Experience developing/programming applications on AT&T Platforms and/or other cloud services (Microsoft Azure IoT Hub, IBM Watson IoT, AWS, PTC Thingworx (or Axeda), Telit DeviceWise, etc.)
Consulting or Systems integration background with qualified firm
Proficiency with cloud providers such as AWS and Azure
Proficiency with both relational and nonrelational databases as well as SQL
Proficiency with development tools such as Github and Visual Studio
Time management, critical thinking and comprehension skills
