Description
Direct involvement in all SDLC and project management phases Partners with Digital Medicine and PfIRe Lab Clinicians, Data Scientists and Informatics teams to understand data and data access needs. Design and develop databases based on study protocol, industry standards such as CDISC, strategies and regulations.
Maintains uptodate Databases for studies supporting RU and PfIRe Lab; creates schemas, designs, develops, tests, and implements stored procedures and triggers; conducts tunes application and query performance; assists with the development and administration of data warehouses; writes code to automate database tasks using MySQL, Oracle, SciDB, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Designer/2000, PERL, Shell Script, TOAD, and Windows NT/2000. Install software and configure database servers, deploy and implement applications throughout internal and external sites
Apply periodic software & database updates while providing hands on application support
Create configuration, user guides, training & support documentation using Confluence and JIRA
Develop, monitor and maintain database management system procedures and sets appropriate security levels
Designs and execute database & server backup and restore processes
Establish application and database disaster recovery protocols
Evaluate and recommend application development and database enhancement and improvements Act as an escalation point for software and/or database critical problems requiring attention and assistance
Training & Education
Required BS in Computer Science or equivalent qualification with 3+ years of experience in information technology
Preferred M.S., Ph.D. or equivalent qualifications. Industry standard technical trainings and certifications
Experience
Knowledge and experience in Good Clinical Practices
Practical experience in clinical trial strategies, methods and processes including study design and data review
Must have wideranging technical experience with Django Python web application framework development
Data Modelling for defining and analyzing data requirements
Oracle DB, SciDB designed for multidimensional data management and analytics
MySQL, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Designer/2000, PERL, Shell Script, and TOAD
Graph Databases such as Neo4J, Arango, OpenLink Virtuoso
Linux, Windows, iOS internal Operating Systems inner working and general knowledge
ETL Processes associated with database usage and data warehousing
GitHub webbased version control repository and internet hosting service
Confluence, JIRA and Project management (Agile, Waterfall) tools and methodologies
Good Understanding of Oncology development processes and application of current industry standards for terminologies and nomenclatures such as SNOMED, ICD and CDISC
Adaptable problem solving and multitasking skills (technical and nontechnical)
Strong interpersonal, written/verbal communication skills, including ability to evaluate, interpret and present complex data
