Description
Client supports home health care agencies. Specifically they support a webbased application that does Scheduling, Billing and EVV (electronic visit verification system) Agency Management System, used by home healthcare agencies that service the Medicaid market. They are currently rewriting the entire front end to ensure it is ADA compliant and keying in on specific functionality, and will later move on to the middle tier and backend.
More specifically, they are taking existing functionality like Scheduling, Reports, Compliance Management, Electronic Medical Records, Billing Functions, Payroll, Reporting and Exporting and encapsulating it into a single, new shiny UI, in one easy to use system. Basically it is multiple single apps all combined into one platform. They have to get the bulk of the front end piece done by July 31st, but will be providing demos to state led leadership even prior to that. This product is purchased by the State Governments on behalf of agencies.
Its a SaaS product, currently on premise, but looking to move to AWS in the upcoming 12 months.
They run in 2 week sprints, and deploy continuously.
They are primarily a Microsoft shop, using VSTS/GIT repos to manage code and work items. May switch over to the Atlassian toolset in the next 12 months, but code will remain Microsoft heavy, in conjunction with Angular framework.
Job Function Design/Develop/Test/Implement improvements or new features to web site and core processing applications, based on functional specifications. Capable of solving complex technical problems with little oversight.
Develops a high level of knowledge about the product line they work within. Technical solutions solved by this individual fit well within the longterm roadmap of those products.
Responsible for adhering to coding standards and approved technologies.
Identifies and informs senior staff members of areas of the application that can be improved by refactoring, optimization, or other improved technology solutions.
Unit tests all changes on development and then work with the appropriate business and/or technology owner(s) to ensure the developed solution meets business requirements. Communicate development progress daily to senior staff members. Attend to any work items assigned through the internal case system in a timely fashion.
Takes ownership of work items assigned communicates estimates and daily progress as part of SDLC process, and actively works to resolve issues blocking progress.
Assist in the QA process.
Participate as required on Production Code Turn days, providing instructions for deploying code changes successfully, and smoke testing code postrelease.
Develop and maintain an open and fluid communication with management.
Develop and maintain a positive relationship with other team members.
Required Skills
6+ years of Microsoft stack / .NET and SQL Server experience 3+ years of experience with one or more JavaScript libraries (i.e. Angular, React, Node)
NTier and SaaS development experience Experience building highly scalable software solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a very fast paced environment & welcome change Highly selfmotivated / Autonomous
Ability to work both in team and solo environments
