Windows VMWare Systems Engineer

Job Responsibilities Planning, Design, Implementation, Administration of Windows 2012/2016 environments
Everyday tactical support of an AWS private cloud that acts as an extension of the customer network
Planning, Design, Upgrade, Implementation, Administration of VMware 6.x environments
Timely response to daily alerts from the 24x7 operations staff on server related issues, such as space alerts, users account administration and provisioning new virtual machines.
Be part of a 24x7 oncall engineering team.
Required Skill Sound knowledge of Windows and VMware HA environments including MS Clustering, VMware HA/DRS/SRM
Recent experience supporting AWS cloud environments. AWS associate certificate preferred.
Solid understanding of Powershell or other scripting languages preferred
Working knowledge of managing Redhat Linux in a virtual environment not required, but nice to have.
Ability to solve complex problems spanning multiple technologies and disciplines
Methodical approach to change execution and implementation
Demonstrated history of developing documentation and operational process
Ability to take ownership of issue analysis and resolution efforts and commitment to resolve technical issues in a 24x7 SLAbound operating environment
Service oriented approach, with the ability to focus on and deliver assigned tasks in a timely manner
Ability to continue education and maintain industry certifications, as applicable
Demonstrate leadership and foster collaborative team approach and interacts well with front line and management providing consultation and expert advice on systems related topics
Excellent communication skills in working with technical and nontechnical people and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships among all levels of an organization
Worldclass customer service skills
