Description
The following are the main qualifications required to fill the position.
1. VBA Programming
2. Microsoft Office Applications
3. PeopleSoft Queries and SQL (PeopleSoft is a HUGE plus)
4. Exceptional Communication
Client has deployed a common HR/Core and Payroll system for roughly 15,000 of UCs nearly 200,000 employees and is preparing to bring the remaining employees live on the shared system in waves through 2019. The UCPath Center (UCPC) is the systems service center and has launched various initiatives to streamline operations. In initiating these activities, this position has been created to help fulfill the mission.
This position is expected to design, develop & maintain various tools in conjunction with PeopleSoft HCM to be used to gain short term operational efficiencies. These tools are expected to be built out of MS Office products to support business processes in PeopleSoft HCM.
Job Requirement & Responsibilities
This resource will be asked to own the following key tasks as it relates to this initiative.
Work with Production Operation resources to gather requirements
Identify short term gaps that can be met via outside PeopleSoft tools
Design & develop tools
Prepare test plans for development
Deploy & maintain developed tools
Qualifications
The responsibilities described above are the essential functions of the job. The qualifications below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.
Required Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Expert in MS Office Applications is required
Expert in VBA for excel is required
Development experience with PeopleSoft ExceltoCI functionality
5+ years of hands on experience with PeopleSoft HCM
Expertise in writing adhoc queries using PS Query and SQL
Should be able to perform successfully as a team player in a team setting by aligning to the overall priorities of the project and direction from leads.
Strong critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation and facilitation skills.
Ability to work crossfunctionally with variety of people to accomplish goals and support others.
Should be proactive in completing the job assigned with little direction and be adaptable to changing job requirements.
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience.
