Webfocus Developer

Description

As a member of team, this person will be responsible for developing WebFOCUS reports and dashboards. This responsibility includes working with project teams (including Project Tech Leads, Systems Analysts, Data Analysts, Database Developers, Quality Assurance engineers, Project Managers and business partners) to determine how to best utilize WebFOCUS. This position will require development of WebFOCUS reports. Primary Responsibilities
WebFOCUS Experience
Demonstrated experience with developing WebFOCUS based Business Intelligence solutions.
Demonstrated experience on IBI WebFOCUS versions 7.x AND 8.x
Demonstrated experience with Report development, BI Portal (Dashboards) and application integration.
Demonstrated experience of integrating WebFOCUS report components with custom developed user interfaces.
Demonstrated experience performing WebFOCUS upgrades.
WebFOCUS Product knowledge
Maintain awareness of the current product capabilities (Report Caster, MRE, BID)
Proactively suggest improvements/utilization of WebFOCUS modules for the betterment of the organization
Work with Project Technical Lead to determine design approach of WebFOCUSrelated components. Provide options and recommend ways to best utilize WebFOCUS in the solution
Working knowledge of how to log/track issues with the IBI WebFOCUS support organization.
Project Team Engagement
Represent the team in Project meetings
Provide estimates for proposed new work
Work closely with project teams and other WebFOCUS developers to design and develop reporting solutions that best satisfy business requirements.
Educate project team members on the capabilities / features of the WebFOCUS reporting application.
Effectively communicate information and issues to all key technology and business partners
Develop standards and best practices for WebFOCUS report development and code reviews
Highly selfmotivated, results oriented, with an ability to work in a fast paced and geographically distributed project team.
Participate in production support and troubleshooting activities for production reporting applications.
Education and Experience 6+ years of experience with WebFOCUS v.7x AND v.8x
8+ years total work experience
3+ experience with SQL, PL/SQL
Experience integrating with web services and stored procedures
Well versed in database technologies
B.S. in a computerrelated field is preferred
