4) Essbase Cubes Job Description WRB team are looking to bring on a strong OBIEE Reports Developer/Writer. This person will be solely focused on the Financial Corporate Data Warehouse during the 6 months on contract. The current team members have little experience within OBIEE so they are having them do the training now, but need a strong consultant to come in, get them ramped up, and hit the ground running. The fields and table have already been identified, the requirements are already gathered. Currently their reports are on Cog. but need them converted to OBIEE. There are over 100 reports that need to be converted over and all of the data should be there.
Role and Responsibilities Experience with design, development and deployment of OBIEE, BI Publisher, SmartView and FRS (Financial Reporting Studio) Reports, Essbase cubes and dashboards
Responsible for the development of RPD
Produce significant new system functionality or defect resolution with minimal direction
Demonstrate a robust understanding of all business data processes/processing for a system, and the related data structures
Demonstrate understanding of data processes and/or structures with the impact of the data lifecycle, from end user input, transformation, and operational process.
Create design specifications that demonstrate an understanding of most interfacing systems and supported business processes
Build out and implement existing/new Business Intelligence framework
Routinely propose improvements to a data process and/or structure to improve supportability or usability
Provide recommendations to solve business issues based on experience and knowledge of current technology
Required to communicate with employees primarily up to the midlevel within both company and client companies Work with different Functional Units to understand their reporting needs; translate business needs into actionable reporting
May be responsible for oncall rotation.
Travel required up to 100%
Minimum Qualifications (Education/Experience/Certification/Skills) 5 10 yrs OBIEE technology knowledge
5 + yrs SQL experience (queries, stored procedures, functions), Strong background in writing SQL and PL/SQL scripts, including Inline Queries, SubQueries, and Aggregate functions
Working knowledge of ETL, exposure SSIS preferred
Must have demonstrated the capability of meeting the key accountabilities, or have the ability to learn/perform them
Ability to work in a fastpaced team environment
Ability to quickly adapt and learn new technologies
Ability to work independently
Bachelors degree from four year college or university with emphasis in related field (preferred)
