UC Engineer

Job Description CCNP Voice or CCNP Collaboration, They should also have experience with UCCX and scripting. Along with some Video Telepresence experience. The Unified Communication (UC) Engineer is responsible for implementing, supporting, troubleshooting and maintaining various UC services alongside a key vendor. This includes all aspects of telephony, video, instant message and presence, audio and web conferencing using predominately Cisco and other UC technologies. Some design work will also be required.
The individual will also be accountable for delivering global UC projects, recommend engineering and operational improvements, maintain documentation, manage change control and be a data analytics subject matter expert interpreting UC data to improve the user experience, identify security risks and resolve issues promptly. Execute enterprise wide unified communication projects, including international site office VoIP integrations, telepresence deployments and product (e.g. Jabber) upgrades Partner with vendor to engineer, recommend and design Ciscobased UC solutions, per SOW criteria
Deploy and test changes and new products in UC lab environment, manage changes into production
Analyze call analytical data (MOS and QoS), map trends and recommend solutions before they become problems
Help analyze, define and recommend a future state UC roadmap. Work with UC Vendor and Cisco to manage TAC and processes, e.g. RMA Solve business problems with expert product knowledge and capabilities Establish, maintain and promote engineering documentation standards Maintain a high level of professionalism with client, vendors and staff. Strong written and verbal communication, listening, and strong presentation skills Ability to perform tasks with minimal or no supervision Demonstrate ability to implement, drive and track projects Strong problemsolving skills ability to assess a problem and determine an effective course of action. Collaborate and interface with other network infrastructure teams. Professional experience to include customer service, requirements gathering, task execution, problem solving, sound judgment around crisis escalation. Available for emergency response as needed. Expertise with products such as
Cisco Jabber, WebEx, Telepresence, and RightFax. Familiarity with the market landscape would be advantageous
A minimum of two years of handson experience architecting, designing and implementing advanced Cisco Unified Communication and Collaboration solutions. Previous consulting/professional services experience a strong desire. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate both technical and abstract concepts in a clear and concise manner. Specific knowledge of largescale Cisco Communication Manager (CUCM), messaging, presence and conferencing solution Architecture, Design and Installation. Knowledge of Cisco Jabber, WebEx Meeting, Video Conferencing, Telepresence. Knowledge on RightFax Ability to maintain an optimistic, flexible attitude in a very fastpaced environment. Proven followup, followthrough and communication skills. Highly motivated and resultsdriven. Proven track record of delivering exceptional service to clients.
