2+ years exp working with Visual Studio 2010 (7 out of 10) Job Description This Sr. UX/UI developer will be working for Wilshire Funds Management group as part of Operations Technology team. This group sells customized investment solutions, reports and analytics to customers including large banks, investment firms and brokerage houses. The customers access this information via a web application/portal. Wilshire wants to give this client web application a face lift. Want to make it much more user friendly, intuitive and functional. They also want the graphics to look better but functionality is main driver. There are no other UX/UI developers at Wilshire. Will be working with a three person mid tier and backend dev team. This Sr. UX/UI developer will be responsible for front end UI web development that can turn conceptual visual designs into wellcrafted, efficient, semantic HTML and CSS code. This person will not develop business logic code but will be responsible for coding anything related to UI Javascripts, AJAX and Jquery scripts. The look of the application is important but functionality and usability is essential. Key duties Redesign and build a web portal application using HTML (HTML5 preferred), AJAX, JQuery, JavaScript, XML, and CSS. Will use Visual Studio 2010 for graphics, Must know ADO.net and components, Grid views, data grids, buttons. Emphasis on making this application highly user friendly. Will interact with Quality Assurance during testing. Will develop documentation including help text, report samples, screen samples and user manuals.
Must have strong HTML and JavaScript (AJAX, DOM, JSON, JQuery, Scriptaculous) Hand coded CSS experience Visual SourceSafe or source management experience Experience working with ASP.NET based applications is preferred. Knowledge of SQL, relational database principles and connection technology.
Prototype and Scriptaculous experience is a plus

Interview Information will interview in person with VP and lead developer. expect lead developer to ask most of the questions. Impact to the Internal/External Customer difficult for clients to access and make sense of information they buy. If clients don't find value in reporting solution the client is providing then stop being clients and the client loses business.
