Top Three Skills 1) Database Technology Experience with HP Vertica + certification (Cert can be for SQL, Oracle, Postgres, etc.) Ideally, this person will be spending 32 hours/week working with Vertica and 8 hours/week working with other databases. 2) Development DBA Environment Experience add tables, DDLs, ETL, Data models, migration and creation of DBs, versioning, and understanding of O/S beneath the DBs. 3) Virtual Environment Experience AWS preferred but any cloud experience would suffice. Geneia data center is a complete cloud environment (AWS). 1. Data Protection Experience Healthcare, PHI preferred. 2. Communication/Presentation Skills Conflict resolution, concise communication with internal and external customers. Job Description Geneia is actively seeking a senior level developmentside DBA to support all databases and 3rd party products associated with the databases. This person will be one of two DBAs with the other DBA being an offshore resource to ensure 24/7 operations. Incumbent will be tasked with Installation, configuration and upgrading of all database server and related 3rd party products; Evaluation of database features and related 3rd party products; Establishing sound backup and recovery procedures and policies; Database implementation; Database Security and Auditing; Database Tuning and performance monitoring; Documentation and standards; Capacity Planning and growth; Budget Planning; Project Planning and; Evaluation and recommendation for database support products.
