1.) 35 years Java Development ExperienceCandidates must have experience working with Core Java to develop middle tier Java Applications.
2.) 12 years .Net Development Experience Candidates must have familiarity with coding in .Net.
3.) 12 years of Oracle Database ExperienceCandidates should have an understanding of backend development of stored procedures, triggers, and constraints. Familiarity with PL/SQL language.
4.) 12 years of experience working with Tomcat. Must know how to provide a pure Java HTTP web server environment for Java code to run in. Job Description Thomson is currently looking to add a Software Engineer to their People Authority Team. People Authority is data for the product, Eicon. Eicon is the leading source of intelligent information for the world's high level VP and Director professionals within organizations, providing customers with competitive advantage. This project entails transitioning from a .Net to Java code environment. Currently the system is written 7080% .Net, and this person will assist in the recoding from .Net to Java. Additional Information They are letting 3 contractors in India go at the end of the year because they want to house all future developers for this product inhouse in Rochester. By bringing these people inhouse, it will eliminate risk and allow the team to all be in the same time zone. Work Environment This is a casual environment that has aggressive timelines and goals. Interview Information 2 step process. First step is phone screen with manager, second step is personal with manager and two team members. Who is the Internal/External Customer The internal customer is the People Authority team and external are all customers that purchase Thomson's product Eicon. Impact to the Internal/External Customer This will allow for better functionality of the systems and will allow for Thomson to generate more revenue from sales.
