Job Description K&L gates is looking for a Business intelligence Developer to join their team on a contract basis. The current team is 2 developers/ arch and the manager. They recently had someone turn in their notice which is why this position is open. If this resource comes on and does a great job there is a very good chance this person could be brought on perm. This person will be asked to do everything from collecting the data to doing the design work (SSAS) and then retreiving the data. CANDIDATES NEED TO HAVE STRONG HANDS ON EXPERIENCE WITH SSAS...THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING. in the past the manager has interviewed people who had an understanding of the technology but not the hand on experience...which rules them out. One main project they are working on is their existing BI projects for HR are handled by a consulting group/ outsources. They are looking to bring this all back in house and over time expand into other departments like marketing, finance,etc.
The global law firm of K&L Gates is seeking an experienced Senior BI Developer/Architect for its Pittsburgh office. The Senior BI Developer/Architect has overall responsibility for the design, implementation and administration of the SQL Server databases, environment architecture and data management functions in support of the companys BI/DW projects and initiatives. This position will work closely with the IT project and infrastructure teams, other operational DBAs and business owners to translate requirements into a complete data warehouse and business intelligence solution. Responsibilities include providing technical leadership in developing the overall BI/DW database/ data management architecture and strategy, implementing and supporting the physical data models and providing guidance to IT management in establishing both a shortterm roadmap and longterm BI/DW strategy. This individual provides handson technical knowledge & leadership working with the business analysts, infrastructure teams, architects and developers in support of all BI/DW initiatives.
