Top Three Skills 1. Oracle PL/SQL development
2. Experience writing ETL code using PL/SQL
3. Performance tuning stored procs, procedures, triggers Job Description Designs and develops reporting products using SQL, PL/SQL and ETL tools; works collaboratively with developers to accomplish project goals; Acts as a resource for users and team members to solve reporting questions, problems and new change requests; Able to Design dimensional models for existing and new Online Transaction Processing (OLTP) source systems; Participates in Systems Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), data analysis and troubleshooting for existing products; Ability to Optimize SQL, PL/SQL, ETL code and database objects to ensure solid performance and uptime for production reporting systems and products; Participates in meetings with executives and business sponsors to discuss project status and activities. Able to produce technical design documentation; Additional Information Experience in a diverse range of technologies with an Oracle focus Data Warehouse and ETL design & best practices strong performance tuning ETL tools (Informatica, must have some exposure, but Oracle SQL is the way they will write custom ETL)
Database and procedural Structured Query Language (SQL) tuning and optimization, Query explain plan Knowledge of Change data capture and realtime replication/realtime ETL (DataGuard, GoldenGate, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)); ODI is not being used currently, but GoldenGate is, and although it is not a MUST, experience with it will definitely be a differentiator
Knowledge of Web Services for data exchange (SOAP, XML) Telecommunications billing and customer care systems experience a HUGE plus; they will consider Financial sector experience, but candidates with telecom will be given 1st preference.
Demonstrated success in a variety of roles within IT Deep knowledge of data warehouse and reporting design, processes and best practices Strong experience with an Oracle technology platform and Oracle databases Very strong communication skills, comfort interfacing with technical and nontechnical audiences
Frontier is moving completely off Teradata over to Oracle, hence the need for the Oracle specific tools/technology exposure/focus. Work Environment Business As Usual (BAU), existing customer/business base, business casual;
this is not just a cookie cutter Informatica resource; definitely want someone who understands Data models, best pratices for keys, indexes, facts, dimensions etc. Strong performance tuning and the ability to program ETL, not just use the GUI Interview Information phone interview technical with lead developer and architect, then prefer a face to face with Roopal, but would consider phone or skype interviews in lieu of F2F
