Job Description IHG has 10 travel agents that work directly for IHG and book travel packages for their customers. IHG has a large program in place to make modifications to their financial systems tied into their travel agents commission program. The Business Systems Analyst will be tasked with projects related to providing enhancements and process improvements to the financial systems data supporting the Travel Agent Commissions Program. This project is centered around IHG's existing PeopleSoft modules, and will involve Receivables, Billing, and General Leger. The initial duration of this resource need is 1 year; however, there is a potential for extension based on program needs. This person will be working with a team of 5 PS Functional resources. Person needs to have excellent communication skills as they will be working closely with the finance org and travel agents. They will also work closely with the technical team. Education/ Experience o Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related field o 10+ years related experience
Skills and Competencies o Strong verbal and written communication skills o Strong facilitation and presentation skills o Ability to resolve minor conflicts/issues using different tactics for prior to escalation o Knowledge of cost/benefit analysis, risk assessment and quantification methodologies o Demonstrated ability in the following methods interviewing, data modeling, business process modeling, business object modeling and user interface design o Knowledge of computer software o Ability to work independently o Organized with strong time management o Teamwork and Cooperation
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities o Under supervision, coordinates detailed business requirements while identifying and tracking business systems issues o Research and document sponsor/stakeholder needs in accordance with Project Life Cycle methodology utilizing reporting tools, requirements gathering methodologies, process models, data models and prototypes o Estimate activities required to perform requirements gathering and acceptance testing improving accuracy over time o Recommend business solutions that satisfy sponsor/stakeholder needs continually exploring and assessing options for valueadd for clients o May complete end user documentation and prepare training material o Execute and document test plans to ensure quality o Perform unit testing and integration testing
