In the competitive industry of consumer packaged goods, MSA provides an allimportant edge to the manufacturer, wholesale distributor and retailer partners in the consumer goods demand chain. They provide a range of informatics solutions targeted at helping customers discover incremental growth and drive efficiency. MSA currently has a home grown platform to support their clients, but do to new technologies, MSA realizes that by building a new platform they can increase efficiency and reduce costs for their clients which will in turn help grow their business. This new platform will be built from scratch and become the forefront product/service of MSA's Information Management Solutions division.
Position Summary The Enterprise Architect leads the design and development of a standardized, costeffective, scalable, secure and flexible enterprise architecture. This position will provide vision, leadership and strategy as well as actively participate in the design, implementation and subsequent operations and support of the enterprise architecture. The resultant enterprise infrastructure must be high performing, scalable, highly available, robust, and secure. This is a very technical and challenging leadership position requiring the ability to motivate, mentor, have clear communication, and work effectively with other functional organizations.
Responsibilities
Recommend, architect, design, operate and maintain an enterprise architecture that supports largescale analytics
Ensure the architecture is optimized for large dataset acquisition, analysis, storage, cleansing, transformation and reclamation
Ensure the architecture adheres to enterprise architecture bestpractices that meet and exceed security, manageability, scalability, performance, availability, visibility and flexibility requirements
Collaborate with Product and Project Management, Architecture, Testing, Quality Assurance, Operations, Client Services, and executive management to ensure the integration efforts meet release schedules, goals, and objectives
Education
Requires a fouryear degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Computer/Electrical engineering or equivalent experience
Masters degree in Business (MBA), Computer Science/Software Engineering or related degree program is preferred
Experience
Minimum ten years of largescale enterprise system development and operations experience with at least five years of enterprise architecture experience and three years working with enterprise data warehousing and business intelligence technologies and solutions
Experience and detailed knowledge of Big Data technologies (e.g. Hadoop, NoSQL, BigTable, HBase) and large data sets
Excellent communication skills
Ability to integrate research and best practices into problem avoidance and continuous improvement
Exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
