Alfresco 4.0 Developer

Description

Jabil is looking for a developer to assist in upgrading and enhancing their current Alfresco system. Alfresco is an opensource content management system that enables Jabil employees and customers to view reports and information real time. Alfresco is an alternative to SharePoint. The developer will mainly be responsible for the upgrade from 3.4.6 to 4.0, and design and development of functional enhancements. The existing system has been in production for over a year but they are now implementing the final record management piece and adding customizations to Alfresco Share. Experience with Alfresco 4.0, system upgrades, web scripts and Share customizations strongly preferred but not required.
Additional Job Info Since Jabil is such a global organization, they need a content management system that enables all of their global project teams to work together via a streamlined communication channel. Alfresco Share enables employees to easily collaborate on content and projects with a globally dispersed team, social features, such as status, tags and content activity feeds make teams more effective through the use of a document library, blog, wiki, calendar and simple workflow.
Top Skills 1. 5+ Years of Java/J2EE development 2. 3+ Years of alfresco development 3. 1+ Years with Alfresco Records Management AND Share modules 4. 1+ Years of design experience adding new features, functionalities, AND consulting on how the system fits into the overall environment at Jabil (i.e. how it is set up, understand what customizations can work OR be added, confirm the approach of how alfresco integrates with other systems)
