OVERVIEW This position will be responsible for extracting data from various data sources including IBM Mainframe DB2 database into a mission critical data warehouse application. Informatica Power Mart 7.1.2 will be the primary tool used for developing these ETL programs. The position also involves production troubleshooting and problem resolution related to ETL. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Development of ETL programs using Informatica Power Mart to move data from AS/400based divisional customer care systems into an operational data store (ODS) consolidating operational data from 39 TWC regional divisions serving 13 million subscribers. In addition to the ODS, ETL development for data warehouses and data marts will be required. 2. Collaborates with the database administrators to complete performance tuning of ETL programs. 3. Collaborates with operations/scheduling personnel to make adjustments to the ongoing operations schedules for ETL programs. 4. Troubleshoots (Tier2) and resolves (Tier2 and 3) ETL maintenance issues and bug fixes. 5. Collaborates with operations, data base administration, and system administration personnel to ensure that ETL jobs and associated database, network, and data movement processes are appropriated monitored and managed. 6. Constantly evaluate and, when applicable, update procedures in area of responsibility. 7. Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by supervisor
