XOs Order Entry group is seeking two Sr. Level .NET developers to help in an Ntier environment with managing new side projects per the business' request as the majority of their FTE's are being dedicated to another large scale development initiative.
1. Encodes, tests, debugs, and documents relatively difficult and complex programs
2. Develop complex applications or parts of complex applications
3. Provide coding requirements for developmental projects which are large in scope and encompass many applications
4. Provide Level of Effort (LOEs) analysis to upper management on any changes or new projects that are medium to large in scope
5. Provides code development and debugging for medium to large projects with proficient software knowledge
6. Design system solutions for systems with minimal direction
7. Prepares programming specifications and writes programs of a technical nature
8. Provide technical assistance as necessary for lower level team members
9. Evaluates systems specifications for client area web site requirements and determines and implements the most efficient and cost effective software/package solution.
10. Responsible for system quality assurance and consistency with installation and security policy and standards.
Top 3 Skills ARE A MUST 5+ years of .NET development
1) C#/ASP.NET 3.5 Framework
2) Nhibernate 3) MVP (model view presenter) and/or WCSF (web client software factory)
Work Environment Fast paced, hectic environment with multiple projects going on at once. This person will be working with a very technical team under minimum supervision. This is one of the most high profile development groups in the organization that handle the order entry systems for their customer base. This groups applications integrate process all customer order entry. This group is very passionate about technology... they like folks that research and stay up to date with the latest and greatest from Microsoft so that they can bring new ideas to the forefront
EVP (why would someone take this position) Due to budget allocation XO is only allowed to post this as a 6 month contract, but the role may turn into longterm. XO plans to renew the contract every 6 months as long as possible. This group in particular just upgraded to the .NET 3.5 framework utilizing multiple components, thus this position will allow for technical growth via cutting edge technologies. It will provide a challenge to deal with such complex, enterprise systems and test someone's multitasking and time management abilities. XO is a fast paced environment comprised of a diverse workforce in a collaborative setting environment. It is definitely an organization where you can build a career. Those who do well on contract are typically moved from project to project or brought back when more work becomes available. Most hiring managers prefer technical experience from large environments, in particular from other Telecom companies.
