Description
1) TSQL development and Data Modeling. Candidates should have advance SQL scripting experience and should be able to do the following but not limited to; passing syntax variables in and out, if statements, while statements, execute command, string statements, store procedures from a dev stand point, etc. They should also have experience with data modeling/data warehouse design. They should know the difference between normalized data vs. non normalized data. 2) They should have experience gathering and writing requirements.
3) They should have experience doing the tasks above working for a healthcare provider Job Description Our customer is looking to bring on a Data Warehouse Architect/Developer on their Business Intelligence team to assist in their evolving enterprise intelligence department. Historically this group had been delivering reports utilizing excel in a manual process. Their goal is to automate their reports and provide more robust reporting by leveraging technology. They have a number of project they would be looking for this individual to assist with but the first will probably be building out their rules engine that will track KPIs, in this case quality metrics pertaining to the service they're providing to their patients. The individual they bring on contract to support these deliverable will work closely with the Director of BI. They will be responsible for working with the business to gather requirements and design/develop that data warehouse/data models to meet the requirements. They will hand it off to the BI analyst who will develop and run the reports using Tableau. They will then play a large role in the testing/reconciliation phase all while documenting their work. They will be interacting with the Data Warehouse team within IT, their respective BI team, business owners and content owners. They will also be asked to mentor FTEs on the technologies they're working with and what they're developing so it can be supported after the consultant leaves.
They will be working with millions of records but it wouldn't be considered Big Data. They're using SQL Server 2014, SSIS for ETL and Tableau to present the data back. Qualified candidates aren't required to have hands on build experience as it pertains to ETL but need to understand how it works to ensure their design leverages it appropriately. They should have experience working with data that is coming from multiple sources. They use Epic 2015 as their enterprise EHR systems which has it's own data warehouse, caboodle, and it's own reporting writing tool, Clarity; any experience with these technologies is a big plus. Additional Information The Enterprise Intelligence organization is growing in maturity and skill set along with all of IT at our customer. The Data Warehouse team within IT has never built a Data Warehouse before and they're not making progress at the rate the Enterprise Intelligence team is being asked to deliver reports. The Enterprise Intelligence team was given approval by their VP to bring on a contractor to design and build data models on their enterprise intelligence server while the Data Warehouse team works on their efforts. This individual will be defining the logic and the Data Warehouse team will put all the bells and whistles on it.
