Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications, or a related field.
Experience Four years of experience developing and maintaining master Microsoft Windows
operating system images, packaging software for deployment and enterprisewide
management end user devices using centralized management utilities.
Four years of experience with Active Directory group policy design, administration,
troubleshooting and support.
Three years of experience with implementation and support of desktop virtualization (i.e.
VMware View or Citrix) and connection protocols (PCoIP and RDP)
Experience with the following is highly desired o Building or managing VMware Horizon Suite
o Recomposing and updating images in VMware View
o Packaging applications using VMware ThinApp
o Building master images or applications layers for VMware Mirage
o vRealize Operations
o Storage Area Network
o Local Area Network
Equivalent Education and/or Experience May have an equivalent combination of education and experience to substitute for both
the education and the experience requirements.
Certification/Registration/Licensure None.
Skills or Special Abilities Must be able to build Microsoft Windows endpoint master images and manage the
deployment and updates of those endpoints at an enterprisewide level (desktop
support and/or helpdesk experience alone is inadequate).
Must have architectural, design and operational expertise in the delivery of IT operating
systems and applications to end user devices.
Must have architectural and backend support expertise with desktop virtualization.
Must have an indepth technical knowledge and demonstrated experience of Microsoft
Windows operating systems, Active Directory and Group Policy management.
Must have operational expertise in the IT network infrastructure area as it pertains to
the function of end user devices.
Must have indepth knowledge of information security principles, practices and
technologies related to an enduser computing environment.
Must have expertlevel experience in system architecture design, recommending &
implementing change, and communicating recommendations to senior leaders.
Must be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with department
personnel, user departments, and managers with regard to business needs and
Technical advancements.
Must be able to prepare specifications and architecture/design documentation for
Complex programs that may have client server components.
Must have a collaborative work style that includes and values the views of others in
Recommendations and decisions.
Must demonstrate the ability to develop reports using offthe shelf tools such as Crystal Or developed in the native development language.
Must be able to program/write scripts and applets in PowerShell or VB Script in order to automate tasks.
