Data engineer(Talend developer)

Description

Responsibilities include Hands on Talend ETL developer for data consolidation and syndication from various purchasing source systems.
Develop in data quality processes and standard and build security of data assets.
Develop and automate the processes with error/exception handling capabilities.
Participate in collaborative software design and development of the Enterprise Procurement Data Lake on cloud technologies including EC2, Hadoop, EMR and tools like RedShift and S3.
Ability to be a selfstarter and share knowledge to technical peers.
Embrace the engineering mindset and systems thinking. Collaborate with IT Architect to design forward looking data solutions.
Develop deep technical expertise in the data movement patterns, practices, and tools.
Lead and participate in experiments involved with enhancing Enterprise Procurement Data Lake.
Support various business users in their need for existing and new data elements and subject areas.
Demonstrates strong communication skills to recommend actionable, datadriven solutions
Ability to collaborate with team members, business stakeholders and data SMEs to understand requirements and to develop a technical design.
Ability to analyze large datasets to determine accuracy of data.
Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree in Engineering (MIS or Computer Science). Masters degrees preferred.
Data Concepts (ETL, near/realtime streaming, data structures, metadata and workflow management)
Big Data (Hadoop/EMR, Redshift, Spectrum, Hive, Spark, Python)
Preferred Qualifications Markup Languages (JSON, XML, YAML)
Code Management Tools (Git/GitHub/AWS Code Commit, Bit Bucket, SVN, TFS)
Experience with Talend Big Data Job Development.
Good knowledge of cloud deployments of BI solutions including use of the AWS ecosystem.
Preferred experience of developing backend data solutions for front end tools like QlikSense.
Ability to pull together complex and disparate data sources, warehouse those data sources and architect a foundation to produce BI and analytical content, while operating in a fluid, rapidly changing data environment Programming / Scripting (Java,)
