Description

Job Description Our client at the CDC is about to undertake a series of large mobile development projects and are in need of three senior mobile developers to join their team on a contract to hire basis. The Office of the Director of Communications within the CDC has a series of mobile development projects with the initial project being a mobile application to take youth surveillance data as well as several mobile Facebook applications. These apps will be developed on both the iOS and Android operating systems using Java/J2EE in conjunction with a SQL backend. Candidates must have experience working on projects using these technologies as a senior mobile developer and possess a thorough knowledge of the SDLC as it relates to mobile development. Agile development experience will also be a mandatory requirement for this role as these projects will be done in this environment. Developers that have an excellent understanding of best practices and design patterns in Object Oriented Programming and have proven analytical and problemsolving abilities will excel in this role.
Additional Job Info Additional skills that will separate candidates from the pack but are NOT required for this role are HTML5 Titanium, jQtouch, or PhoneGap front end mobile web frameworks Candidates have the option to go perm after 6 months and can remain on contract if desirable.

Mobile development on both iOS AND Android platforms using Java/J2EE experience doing this on multiple mobile development projects with hands on experience in architecture, design, AND development 2. Interview Info (date, time, process, interviewers) Work Environment (culture, deadline intensive, flexible hours, dress code) This is a high Profile program within the CDC AND developers will be asked To deliver under tight deadlines AND a fairly demanding end customer. Business Challenge Client is Tasked with Solving Our client currently does not have any senior level mobile developers on staff AND are incapable of delivering on these projects without these three developers. If Northrop Grumman is not able To deliver on this program, it will not bode well for future pursuits within this part of the CDC. The CDC is very interested in expanding their public health services via mobile devices AND these projects will be crucial in demonstrating their Ability To do so. Who is the Internal/External Customer (i.e., enduser or endclient) External Customer Office of the Director of Communication Impact to the Internal/External Customer (i.e., how does the endusers job become easier) See Business Challenge Project Stage/Lifecycle Info 100% new development Technical Environment Java/J2EE, SQL, iOS, Android Nontechnical Skills (i.e., communication, problem solving, etc.) Proven Ability To function well in a team environment. Excellent understanding of best practices AND design patterns in Object Oriented Programming. Proven analytical AND problemsolving abilities. Strong customer service orientation. Must be proactive, selfdirected, self motivated, detailed, quick learner AND organized. Ability To think conceptually. Excellent communication skills both written AND verbal. Developers on this project will have a pipeline of high Profile mobile development projects that all have To be done from scratch. Because of the nature of these projects, this group within the CDC is using some of the latest mobile development Technologies Available AND are looking for these developers To be highly involved in the architecture AND design aspect of these projects.
