7+ years experience in an operations/DevOps environment
Understanding of UNIX tools and script development including use of Perl, KSH
A good understanding of the technology stack through the application server Exposure to Access Servers (Apache, Tomcat)
Exposure to Application Servers (JBoss)
Understanding of source code control (Git or another)
Understanding of Puppet or similar software
Highquality standards and attention to detail
Works well in an extremely collaborative environment
Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to work in a production environment

Experience with some type of continuous integration system Additional Information This person will participate on development teams, bringing an operational perspective to their efforts and communicating operational needs to the rest of SCIOPS. They are expected to document any new processes and keep existing documentation and tools up to date as the environments change.
Tasks to be Assigned Deployment Learn how to configure and deploy versions of the software and services and manage multiple software versions
Provide coordination support for deployment of releases and configuration changes to production
Triage and support production, test, load and development issues
Learn and provide Application Server support for SciFinder 16
Be a representative of the operations team on the SciFinder 16 agile teams, and in project meetings
Provide process management Document new processes, keep existing process documentation up to date, and automate processes as beneficial. Support the development process and software configuration
