Job Description ROLE DESCRIPTION Drives and owns the overall Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence conceptual, logical and physical data design working with architecture, solution engineers, analysts, developers and business customers.
Conducts detailed level data analysis and data profiling to understand the usage of the data and aid in the development of the model.
Facilitates model reviews to explain how the proposed design will meet the requirements of the business customers.
Owns the creation of and all updates to the model in the data modeling tool.
RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the creation of the overall Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence conceptual, logical and physical data design through the collaboration with the Information Architecture, solution engineers, analysts, developers and business customers. Conducts detailed level data analysis and data profiling to understand the usage of the data and aid in the development of the model.
Facilitates model reviews to explain how the proposed design will meet the requirements of the business customers.
Participates in the development and maintenance of the annuities data architecture, data management standards, data dictionary and data element naming standards.
Responsible for identifying data quality issues and developing solutions to mitigate those issues.
Work with project leads, analysts, developers and business customers to design solutions that meet the business requirements.
Provides data modeling expertise in the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence domain throughout the systems development lifecycle.
Accountable for the validation of model solutions through an indepth understanding of business requirements.
Mentors the analysis and development teams throughout the systems development lifecycle by providing data modeling expertise in the Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence domain.

Additional Job Info QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES Bachelors Degree required. 10+ years of IT based software development experience 7+ years experience in data modeling and data architecture Strong facilitation skills to engage subject matter experts to define Data/Analytical requirements and conduct data modeling design reviews with cross functional project teams. Experience with the Imnon approach to modeling the Corporate Information Factory (CIF) Experience in dimensional data models, Data Dictionary, Metadata Strong Handson experience using data modeling tools, preferably ERwin Experience in the software development lifecycle for data warehouse and business intelligence projects Knowledge, Understanding, and Enforcement of Full Life Cycle Development Methodologies and Process Solid knowledge and experience of database and programming languages (specifically Oracle, Informatica and Cognos) Strong Interpersonal (listening, written and verbal communication) and presentation skills. Ability to effectively communicate and influence others. Experience working in a multisite team environment experience preferred. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
