Job Description Scope We are moving away from ArcPlan and will be using Cognos & Tableau for our future BI Reporting strategy. We need a strong Cognos Developer with good DMR and MDX experience. They are moving from ArcPlan a Legacy Reporting tool to Cognos & Tableau for their reporting needs. To match some of the all reports, the candidate will need to customize the Cognos reports using MDX and JavaScript. Proficiency with Cognos BI (Preferably 10.2.2) Product Suite (Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Query Studio, Framework Manager , Transformer)
Hands on Framework Manager Dimensional Modeling , Transformer cube Design and Development
Hands on Dashboard, and report development experience
Excellent performance tuning and trouble shooting skills
Prior experience working with Key Performance Indicators, Metrics in Finance, Sales, Inventory and other subject areas
Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication The ability to multitask and work in a team environment is a must
Responsibilities Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather and document BI requirements
Analyze BI requirements and design/develop Cognos Reporting solutions to support standard reporting, Dashboard and selfservice environment.
Testing and Bug fix Performance tuning to ensure reports function within acceptable parameters
Report specification and Design document preparation and review Migrate and deploy application code to multiple environments
Cognos server administration Additional Information Preferred
Prior experience working with data sourced from JD Edwards
Prior experience in scripting (JavaScripting / Jquery) to extend Cognos Capabilities and to integrate with other Visualization Tools Understanding of SOX and Project management principles and concepts Rapid prototyping and agile methodology
