Haworth is currently looking for a Web Developer to provide mid level expertise for design, generation, and evaluation of multi platforms in a global environment.
In this role you will develop, test and fix errors in programs and will be responsible for applications dealing with overall operating system of subsystems such as database management systems, communication networks or transaction processing systems. As a mid level programmer you will be responsible taking projects from the development phase of the process. You will receive direction and detailed specs from senior level developers on the team.
The current team consists of 5 web developers. They are overwhelmed by the workload and need someone to come in and help them get through a significant task list for Haworth.com enhancements and updates. They are also working on a substantial shopping cart application that this candidate will help create.
From a personality standpoint it appears as though this team lacks some personality and collaboration.
Additional Job Info The ideal candidate will possess Bachelors degree in information technology discipline or related field or equivalent. Eight years computer systems engineering experience, with demonstrated competence in systems programming skills or application development. Five years experience with Microsoft technologies in an enterprise environment. Experience working for a company or IT function supporting multi locations with a global presence dealing with a multi platform global environment. Experience with web development technologies such as Adobe web development (Flash, Flex Air), .Net development or experience with Agile development methodologies strongly preferred. Experience with SharePoint development and administration strongly preferred. Microsoft Exchange administration strongly preferred. Experience with web analytics highly preferred. Experience with SolarWinds Orion or Cantos Cumulus a plus. Ability to travel overnight away from corporate offices, including internationally up to 20% of the time. Ability to participate in 24x7 on call rotation.
